How the calculator works
The main calculator starts with hourly rate, billable hours, billable weeks, tax reserve, fees, and monthly overhead. It estimates gross annual revenue, deductions, monthly take-home pay, and effective hourly pay. The target-rate tool reverses the math from a desired monthly take-home amount.
Take-home pay = gross billable revenue minus platform fees, payment fees, business overhead, and tax reserve.
